Sam Solman is a photographer from Hackney, Northeast London. Shooting since 2019, he has approached the medium with an increasingly open mind, and explorative attitude. Growing up in the city has been a big influence on his work, using photography as way to find peace in the fast-paced bubble of London.
Since a young age, he has always been drawn to portraiture, using both his camera, and personal skills to make meaningful relationships with the people he encounters on his many journeys through life. He uses the medium to investigate, question, and explore, for example, his project named ‘Father’ (which is available on this website).
Maintaining a considered, and progressive approach to portraiture, Sam’s clients are drawn to his ability to capture people in their truest and most natural forms. Working closely with the event and music industry, his personal involvement has allowed him to connect with the scene and document it from an integrated position, and this can/has been applied in other such environments.
